2009 Triumph 675 Daytona

When the bike was released, the chassis was always a talking point (in a good way!) it was touted as a viable option to the Japanese manufacturer’s 600cc bike offerings. It handled very well on the road and track, with good ground clearance which meant you wouldn’t have second thoughts about throwing it into corners and leaning it over. Nowhere better did it display this than on track, by winning a few championships, including British Supersport.

Comparing the previous generation Daytona to this one might be tough at first glance (as they look similar) but once you get up close and personal with it you can see some notable and worthwhile changes such as a revised fairing and suspension. These along with many non-visible changes, such as engine tuning and brake management make the 2009 – 2011 version a nice upgrade to the previous model.

The performance and engine upgrades are noteworthy, an extra 3bhp was squeezed out the engine, along with 1ftlb of torque and 400 more rpm as standard, which allowed it to rev to nearly 14,000rpm! The in-line 3-cylinder triple engine gives you massive amounts of torque, which the bike applies in a much more controlled and smooth way compared to its predecessor – whilst still giving you plenty of top end power!  This makes pushing it to its limit all that more enjoyable when on a track day!

Reliability and build quality of the Triumph Daytona 675 is also another plus point, most chassis parts are similar to equivalent Japanese manufacturer bikes meaning it’s just as reliable. The build quality was and still is nothing to complain about. Other than standard wear and tear this bike still holds up well today.

This Demon Tweeks & Michelin Competition track bike is by no means standard, it will come with uprated parts throughout!

The Custom Modifications

Have a look at the list below for details:

Akrapovič Exhaust Silencer

Akrapovič needs no introduction, the go to for exhaust upgrades, used by everyone from casual day to day riders to being seen on MotoGP bikes. This Slip-On Line is designed for recreational riders. This exhaust was created with performance in mind and gives more power and torque, it also has a low weight which adds to the performance gains.

Nitron Rear Shock Absorber

These shocks from Nitron have evolved from their range of multi adjustable dampers, many of the lessons they have learnt from the racetrack are standard here. This shock has been custom made specifically for this bike, made from lightweight anodised alloy construction and is fully CNC machined.

K-Tech Fork Springs

The highest-grade Chrome Silicone wire has been used to create these springs. All K-tecf fork springs are pre-set and stress relieved to give a better performance than a standard spring and an extended life-span.

Hyperpro Steering Damper

Combining reliability with affordability this steering damper can be adjusted to 22 different positions with a low friction design. It has triple functioning seals to stop dust getting in and oil getting out.

R&G Crash Protection

Crash protectors, engine case covers, fork sliders and more – The R&G range of crash protection is extremely durable and tough, which gives peace of mind when taking it on the track.  If you fancy protecting the bike even more, you can add more protectors from the R&G range, which can be fitted simply and efficiently!

K&N Air Filter

K&N are a staple name in the filter industry as they cater to countless different bikes and cars with quality products. This example has simply been placed straight into the existing air box, which has replaced the restrictive standard filter to allow for immediate gains in performance. It is also washable and reusable.

Power Commander

A Power Commander V has been fitted to the 675 Daytona – giving the owner some control over the bikes fuelling.  This means the bikes fuelling can be altered without any changes the the bikes ECU – fuel maps are available to download, or custom maps can be uploaded at a dyno.

Goodridge Brake Lines

The best quality brake lines are created by Goodridge. Have you ever felt that spongy feeling when braking heavily? These brake lines remove this feeling completely, which gives complete confidence under braking that these parts won’t let you down when you’re pushing for that optimum time on track.

SBS Brake Pads

To compliment the Goodridge brake lines are SBS Brake Pads. These pads offer optimum performance when riding which gives you confidence to push the bike to its limits. These pads have been specially designed and developed in and around the track which makes them class leading.

Afam Coloured Chain

Afam chains are specially made to perform at the highest standards on road and track. Afam is one of the world’s largest chain manufacturers and their products have helped contribute to over 25 world titles and many national championships!
